There are a host of reasons why homeowners look to increase the size of their home. Whether it's growing families or new hobbies, adding one or several rooms to your home is an effective and increasingly popular means of increasing your space. When done right, not only does a home addition provide extra space but it adds value to your home and increases its aesthetic charm.
Another increasingly popular avenue homeowners take are ADUs (accessory dwelling units), which refers to a secondary house or apartment that shares the building lot of the original house. ADUs are an efficient use of existing space and are perfect for growing families or for having a dedicated space for hobbies or activities.
If you have extra space at the bottom of your garden, an ADU may be a perfect choice. We pride ourselves in handling every step of the construction process, from design and implementation to clean-up.

Rancho Cordova, California is located in the County of Sacramento County, approximately some 12 miles east of the California state capital of Sacramento. It is also located on U.S. Route 50, and is bounded on the west by the community of Rosemont and on the north by the American River.
The year 2003 brought the incorporation of Rancho Cordova which makes it one of the newest communities in California. The history of Rancho Cordova goes back to the middle 1800’s during the period of Gold Rush as well as the days of the Pony Express. One of the local stopovers for the Pony Express was Mills Station, which is a landmark that is currently being transformed into a community center. Mather Air Field is another landmark in Rancho Cordova. Mather Field is a former Air Force base that was in use during WW II for bombardier, observer, navigator, and pilot bombardier training. The base was also used as a stopover location for materials, aircraft, and troops that were headed for combat duty in the Pacific. These days, the Air Force base is the home of the Mather Airport, which has been converted for civilian use by the County of Sacramento. Mather Regional Park consists of over some 1,600 acres of many different species of California valley wildlife. Rancho Cordova is also the home of the local campus of the University of Phoenix.
The Mathew Kilgore Cemetery, which is a historic location that was established in 1874 and contains many burial plots of the pioneer families and is located in the center of Rancho Cordova.
Mather Regional Park is also the home of the Mather Golf Course, which is one of the most popular golf courses in the region. It is an eighteen-hole championship golf course. Mather Regional Park also consists of over some 1,600 acres of many different species of California valley wildlife.
The American River Parkway is where outdoor recreation can be found in Rancho Cordova. The River Parkway contains many different aquatic activities that includes horseback riding, hiking, biking, salmon fishing, kayaking, and rafting.
The Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary is located only a few minutes away from Rancho Cordova. This is a small unique California zoo that also serves as a sanctuary for some uncommon and common animals, both domestic and wild.
Rancho Cordova has been growing since the 1950’s, although it has only been incorporated as a city for a few years. The name Rancho Cordova is named based on the Cordova Vineyards. When they started to construct houses in the area, they wanted to give the community a name with the United States Postal Service, they wanted to name it Rancho Cordova after the Cordova Vineyards.
During the late 1800’s, the Cordova Vineyards were established by the family of a man named Roland Federspiel. Wine from the Cordova Vineyards was even served in the White House to President Theodore Roosevelt. The name Cordova is referenced to the Cordoba Region of Spain.
The community of Mills was the previous name of Rancho Cordova. The name Mills was referenced to the sawmills that John Sutter had constructed next to the American River. The current name of Rancho Cordova dates back to the 1950’s. At the time it was in vogue for the young people who were returning from WW II who needed homes. This was the stimulus for the development of Rancho Cordova.
Ss the result of that fact that wine wasn’t as popular during that time as it was before, developers decided to construct houses for new people coming into the community of Rancho Cordova who were relocation to the suburbs from inner city. As the result of that trend, Rancho Cordova got its start in the area.
As the result of the escalation of the Cold War the need for the Mather Air Force was recognized and is a portion of the reason for the origins of Rancho Cordova. The need for the base continued, and the majority of the Airmen lived off-base.
At the same time, Aerojet General Corporation arrived in Rancho Cordova from Los Angeles and brought with them numerous people seeking employment from them. Then there was another group of people who decided to live in Rancho Cordova and were ultimately the service providers, who included everybody from salesmen, to principals, pastors, and doctors. During the 1950’s and 1960’s those groups effectively established Rancho Cordova.
Although initial efforts were made back in the early 1960’s, it wasn’t until the year 2003 that brought the incorporation of Rancho Cordova as a city. However, the incorporation wasn’t executed until the Rancho Cordova began a 20-year effort toward becoming a city.
In 2002 the effort finally paid when the matter of Rancho Cordova becoming a city was placed on the ballot and approved by some 78% of the voters.
Rancho Cordova has a rich history and a bright future. The city of Rancho Cordova is a wonderful place to live, work, play, visit, and raise a family.
