Cameron Park, California is a portion of the Sacramento metropolitan area. According to the 2010 census, the population of Cameron Park was some 18,228 people which is an increase in population from the 2000 census which indicated a population of Cameron Park of some 14,549 people. The community of Cameron Park is located in the Gold Country of the Sierra Nevada foothills in Northern California, about 70 miles west of South Lake Tahoe and 30 miles east of Sacramento.
