Rosemont is not officially a town and instead is given the title of a census-designated place and is also part of the collective group of the Arden-Arcade-Roseville metropolitan area.

The main racial group of Rosemont is white Americans who make up 59.6% of Rosemont’s population. The other ethnic makeup is made of 12.0% African Americans, 1.4% Native American, 10.7% Asian, 0.6% Pacific Islanders, and 15.8% of other races in the community.
Rosemont is close to other major Sacramento towns including Folsom and residents and visitors to Rosemont can stay connected with other towns by a series of major roads and highways, leading in and out of Rosemont. The Watt/Manlove station is the main point of transfer for buses in Rosemont and is the point of transfer for residents and visitors to access public transport in and out of Rosemont. For most residents taking a bus through the center of Rosemont is the easiest option, with bus 72 being the optimal option for residents wanting to move through Rosemont. As discussed previously, many main roads are traveling through Rosemont making it easy for vehicle owners to get out and about in Rosemont. Rosemont also boasts access to the U.S. Route 50 for travelers to pass through Rosemont on their way to other locations around the United States.
