About Antelope

Antelope is a city-based in California. Antelope's population is at a total of 45,770 residents. The total population density is at 6,700 per square mile.

Antelope's area codes include 916 and 2799, respectively. Antelope started off as a Center township type area during the 1800s. By 1973 Antelope was already a small business district. In the beginning, Antelope was just seen as a small community housing single family. However, Antelope had begun to move with the times and started building a small town for travelers and visitors.

Unfortunately, Antelope had experienced a tragedy on 28 April 1973. This event was categorized as a massive bomb explosion that no one had expected. The blast had taken place at the Roseville switchyard. This explosion had caused many buildings to collapse. Bomb fragments could be found all around the town as well as near the resident's homes. The bombs were aircraft bombs that had exploded in a railroad car in the switchyard. The train on the switchyard track was making its way to Port Chicago as it carried 7000 aircraft bombs.
